45365
45365 is the zip code of Sidney, Ohio, a town with 20,000 inhabitants
located in the American Midwest. It’s a town like many others, with
people and places just like many others in the United States, and it is
the stage for episodes of daily life. The film recounts the love story of
two young people, the relationship between a father and his son and
small petty crimes. The background is made of typical American clichés
like the county fair, the local radio station, the football field of the local
high school team.

“We’ve had a continual love affair with the people around us. We don’t
want fleeting things to pass so we’ve tried to capture them in some
way. In our film work we focus on images and the people in those
images – the storyteller rather than the story itself – and in the
moments and landscapes that we find ourselves in. We arrived, back
after many years, and sought to capture the images that had haunted
us since our leaving.”
