Synopsis

“Chaos and confusion reign in France since the attacks that took place in January 2015. This troubled period is depicted in Attack, raising political questions without answers. As democracy is under attack, it seems that everyone is lost, from ordinary citizens to intellectuals and decision makers, and that the difference between reality and imagination is no longer clear. […] The political say still belongs to few, while minorities are requested to join the dominant majority, an orchestra that sings in one and only voice, louder after the terror attacks. […] Exploring the Parisian landscape day by day reveals how geopolitics beats within society itself, and that it personally concerns us all. While some are seeking immediate answers that will put some order to the chaos, my film suggests the contrary: it is consciously chaotic and is not looking for answers or stability. It wishes to choose liberty as the only possible way to keep our democracy.” [mp]
