Director statement

“People reinvent themselves online all the time. From creating innocent avatars to harmful false identities to merely presenting oneself on social media – it’s a way to play with identity, to be perceived as someone or something else, to fantasize and escape an otherwise normal existence. The characters in King Cobra […] all created online identities as a means to fulfill their fantasies, to enrich their lives, to find success and live their version of the American dream, regardless of how that affected other people.”
