Director statement

“At first, I had imagined the second part of the film to take place in the Algerian desert where a utopian society arises to oppose powers and states, and go so far as to build a fort around themselves. The idea of the fort presupposes madness and creates insanity both within and outside the fort, madness for those who take refuge in it or are excluded from it. But also the madness of hoping for a different society that will never change if one does not accept to be both inside and, at the same time, deprived of the illusory protection of the walls whatever these walls may be.”
