Synopsis

In this second startling film in the Blind Dead series, Amando de Ossorio returns to the horrific origin of the depraved Templar: heretic knights whose eyes were burned out by medieval vigilantes to prevent them from finding their way back from Hell. Amando De Ossorio

Amando De Ossorio (A Coruña, Spain, 1918 - Madrid, Spain, 2001), after directing The Black Flag, a short film in 1956, spent the next few years doing documentaries and commercials. Afterwards a few westerns and comedies, in 1969 he moved into horror where he made his mark. In 1971, he came up with the concept of The Blind Dead, a cult of blind, undead templar knights who sucked human blood. The first film, Tombs of the Blind Dead, was successful so three more “Blind Dead” films followed in quick succession. Unfortunately his last horror film, The Sea Serpent (1984), was a disappointment to him due to the low budget special effects, and led him to retire from filmmaking in 1984, at the age of sixty-six.

Filmography:
