Short Film Competition 1998

En désespoir de cause

by Vincent Loury
Country: France
Year: 1998
Duration: 25'

The glass tower housing the offices of the Establishment Society. In this gray, slightly inhuman environment, the paths of four characters with four very different work relationships cross each other at a comic pace. "Today, looking for job is as hard as looking for the Holy Grail: something vain and improbable. It takes a bit of heroism to keep one's guard up. I wanted to talk about this heroism, in a funny way" (V. Loury).
