people to do their compulsory military service. The army gives them a military
ID (N.I.M.). None of the troops knows each other by name. At ten p.m. the lights
go out in the dormitories. "Are you listening or not. I don't know you at all,
but I feel as if you were my brother".

Ines Oliveira
Inês Oliveira (Lisbon, 1976) from 1994 to 1997. She studied at Ar.Co (School of Fine Arts) and from 1997 to 2000 at the Cinema School (ESTC), specializing on sound editing. Her first film as a director, out of the academic context, is the short O Nome e o N.I.M. award winner at Vila do Conde Film Festival in 2003.
