Real people, who go about their daily lives in a natural theatre where reality takes on the qualities of a fairy tale, a crime novel, a coming-of-age story. Five men at different stages of life who never meet yet are all part of one, unique, suspended narration.

Andrea Caccia
Andrea Caccia (Novara, 1968) studied painting and directing. He devoted himself to creative documentary and visual language teaching, as the main tool for analyzing reality. He directed documentaries, short films, video clips, dealing with different genres, and giving life to a fleeting and completely personal style. His works have received awards and have been selected by numerous festivals around the world, including Venice, Locarno, Rotterdam, Karlovy Vary, Lussas, Annecy, Brooklyn, La Roche-sur-Yon and Belfort.

“I was born in Piedmont, on the banks of the Ticino, and now, after a period spent in the ‘big city,’ I returned to live in the Parco del Ticino, the Lombard side. In my memories and in my current walks along the river bed or in the dark woods, I often came across ‘ancestral’ figures, who spoke to me, intrigued, frightened, amazed. Bodies, faces, gestures, forms, coming from the depths of time, but still able to suggest deep and incredibly current meanings, on the relationship between man and nature, between knowledge and instinct, between mind and body.”
