Three "astronauts" wander through the snowy, silent and imposing mountains. Within this short film, the landscape becomes material for experimentation: with its textures, its colors and the images' tempos. In just forty minutes, the director of Murder Me, Monster constructs a fascinating existentialist piece that transforms the screen into a canvas; and the earth into a sort of frozen planet.

Alejandro Fadel
(Argentina, 1981) has graduated at Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, where he developed his first short films. He has also directed music videos and was co-director with Martín Mauregui of the feature film Love - Part One (2005). He then started to develop his career as a writer for film and television, in particular as scriptwriter for Pablo Trapero. The Wild Ones (2012) is his first solo feature. His second feature, Murder Me, Monster (2018), premiered in Un Certain Regard in Cannes.

“The short film, as well as its leading character, offers a voyage through a mysterious place. It follows after the protagonist’s movements in order to lead the spectator into a staggering place of newness. The spectator is carried to wherever site his perception needs to be accommodated in order to wonder what he is looking at and to seek for personal enjoyment through that bewilderment.”
