The main character of the film is a young teenager who, thanks to some documents she might have found and jealously kept, is convinced she is one of Puškin descendant: she feels very proud, so much that she sometimes behaves in a peculiar and mysterious way. She only tells her secret to a young friend, a guest at her family’s and older than her, who she also brings to visit an abandoned house where she thinks the love dates between the poet and her grandmother used to take place. The girl hopes he could share with her the romantic charm of that mystery, but the boy starts choosing other companies, in particular a young singer who performs in town. This provokes the teenager’s reaction, shown in some unusual ways. When she finds out that her friend has a nigh date with the singer in the abandoned house, she plans, helped by an old propman, a fake fire of the house, supported by a series of explosions, in order to prevent the love meeting. Her attempt succeeds: so the boy screams to her face that her idea of being Puškin’s heir apparent is just an illusion based on something far from the truth.
