"Little Angel" is the nickname of Ramona Schneider, a hypersensitive woman who is living an insignificant life near the Ostkreuz train station in Berlin. As the result of a grotesque coincidence, she here meets Andrzej, a Pole who sells cigarettes on the black market, and falls in love. Her unexpected happiness soon changes into an inevitable tragedy.

Helke Misselwitz
Helke Misselwitz (Zwickau, 1947) has a university degree in Psychotherapy. She worked for nine years as assistant director and children's programming director for the television of the German Democratic Republic. From 1978 to 1982 she studied directing at HFF and collaborated with the documentary department of DEFA. From 1985 to 1988 she studied at the Fine Arts Academy. In 1988 she was hired as a director at the DEFA. She teaches at Frankfurt University and at the Potsdam Babelsberg Film School.
