Twenty five children from a community of minors who have been abandoned or taken from their families present themselves in front of a mirror behind which there is a television camera. They are fully aware that they are being filmed. Theirs is an interpretation through free "gestures". Other images are interlaced with these the images of a paper factory, which show the process of the birth of paper. Everything comes together at the end, where there remains a drawing by each one as a last trace.
