12 films inspired by the works and personalities of 12 contemporary artists: Giuseppe Salvatori, Giovanni Albanese, Felice Levini, Alfredo Pirri, Vettor Pisani, Adrian Tranquilli, Andrea Fogli, H.H. Lim, Bizihan Bassiri, Marco Bagnoli, Giuseppe Gallo, and Luigi Ontani.

"12 Afternoons comes out of an encounter with 12 contemporary artists who introduced an exhibition entitled Oro la prima in the Sala Umberto movie theater in Rome. The exhibit was coordinated by Giovan Battista Salerno. I was asked to speak, to give a little presentation. I did not feel like saying anything. So, I made a film. That's all. I called it 12 Afternoons because I wanted it to be perceived exactly as what it was - the collection of 12 filmed visits with 12 contemporary artists shot in homes, in studios, or in other places. It is not a collection of documentaries. The 12 films are very, very short and have neither the intention nor the chance to be didactic" (Daniele Luchetti).
