The marginal existence of Belarmino Fragoso, a former boxing champion, as told in a psychological investigation which illuminates his social and urban universe. Beginning with Belarmino's modest origins, the film dissolves into the eccentric and nostalgic rhythm of a twilight and inattentive Lisbon.

"The director chose a character and surrounded him with cinema: Belarmino is a boxer who could have been a big name in Portuguese sports, but who is existing in a state of total decadence (of which he isn't completely conscious)" (Eduardo Prado Coelho).
