Emma and Carlo are a couple of chemists who are going through a time of troubles in their love life. Emma discovers that the companion at her side is someone other than the man with whom she had shared her anxieties and successes in their laboratory research. Their private life is certainly not better. Carlo finds a different woman. It turns out to be nothing other than a bar of soap - one of the many products of their experiments - that will bring them back to face each other, to look at each other anew in terms of what they have become and - who knows - in terms of rediscovering each other.
"Our desires often transform themselves into prisons rather than goals to reach. They prevent us from seeing what is happening around us. And when will some lucky chance allow us to escape? The man or woman companion at our side may start to seem someone foreign to us, and this goes for work, for friends… who are they? what are they good for? We are lost. Vittoria Castagneto
Vittoria Castagneto (Turin, 1963) works in advertising. She graduated in art history from the school of modern literature and in theater history and criticism from Turin University school of education. Since 1988 she has worked regularly with Rai in making and programming radio and television formats (Raisat, Ambiente Italia, Tg Leonardo, Colloqui, and Single).
