"Pinocchio is a traveller who tricks himself into thinking that he has a goal, but in fact travels just for the fun of travelling He floats in a capricious and naive way and is persecuted by a moral code that does not belong to him, something that is typical of only one of the worlds through which he travels. He uses water in order to travel in the old-style way. He imitates water in that he does not give up anything and he does not hold anything back. His human flexibility makes him bolder than any other man. He manages to sleep in the stomach of a shark, to move the emotions of a giant, to die and arise always new again in places that are parallel, mixed around, and magical" (Massimo Salvucci).

Gianluigi Toccafondo
Gianluigi Toccafondo (San Marino, 1965) graduates at the Art Institute in Urbino in 1985. In 1987 he moves to Milano and works with Mixfilm. Two years later, he makes his first short film La coda, winner at the Festival di Lucca in 1990. Since 1992 he has been making film and TV trailers, commercials and exhibits his works in Italy, France, USA and Japan. In 1993 he makes the short film Le criminel reaching the finals at Cartoon d'Or in 1995. He works for many magazines, like "Linea d'ombra," "Lo straniero," "Internazionale," "Mano," "Abitare," "Teléma."
