Rua Paraiso, "ciudade nova", is a shanty town slum in the northern part of Sao Paulo, a mega-polis of Brazil. It's a symbol of the poverty of thousands of favelas spread around the world. There are 1600 of these areas only in Sao Paulo. The children tell the story of these conditions - metaphor for the present-day unstoppable development of the big cities of the earth.
"The main purpose of this documentary is not to analyze the disastrous consequences of the abnormal growth of the cities, but to draw a picture of Brazilian children, to listen to their vision of the world, and to consider them little adults and teachers about life" (Elisabetta Francia).
