Six days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, a rumor is going around Los Angeles that the Japanese are about to attack the United States. The Americans, overcome by collective hysteria, see Japanese everywhere. In fact, a Japanese submarine, under the command of an admiral and with the help of a German officer, is wandering around the Pacific Ocean with a broken compass, as it looks for Hollywood, the symbol of America. The army of the Rising Sun attacks an amusement park thinking it is Hollywood, while the civilian population causes endless disasters in an attempt to fight the enemy off. The only person who isn't worried is General Sitwell, who calmly stays seated in a cinema watching a Disney movie.
