Burning Man, Seven Ages of Man

The video project was filmed during the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert. The various stages of human life are traced through games, from when children discover their first toys and playing is pure fun and fun alone, to middle age, when people begin to sum up their existence and they face difficulties and enemies in a public arena like the Coliseum, to old age, when, having achieved wisdom, they can rest in the Mausoleum, a Biblical meeting place for the souls of our dearly departed.

"I tried to mix images, sounds, words, and graphic elaborations in one single texture of elements in a trip to the limit between reality and dream experiences, where emotions and feelings are freed from pre-defined means of expression" (R. Maresti).
