This short film is part of the group film Jött egy
busz…, made by five young Hungarian directors and coordinated by Miklós
Jancsó. It is a bloody film-opera interpreted by actors dubbed with the voices
of opera singers. The story of Joan of Arc by Verdi is paraphrased like a
modern farce, and is acted out by the rescue squad and the victims of a highway
accident in which a bus has overturned.
