Catastrophic-style science fiction of the new Padania's savage TV. An edited film with off-screen voices. Censured and never projected, it was supposed to be shown at the 2001 Torino Film Festival the day the fire broke out at the Cinema Reposi. "(…) We became film clubbers, collectors, pirates of whorehouse films, day jobbers (and week jobbers, me at 'Panorama', where I had to specialize in micro-critiques of films I couldn't have seen). After Mides, we turned down the Craxi-related careers in public cinema; we became televised authors and, along with Mimmo Lombezzi, immediately ended up being censured, expelled, and blacklisted for our prophetic program, Telecommando.
It was the year 1981: twenty years later we should have had a premier showing in Turin, but the day before the Cinema Reposi went up in flames and Telecommando remained with the book about Carmine Gallone with Martinelli (published by Liguori), with Kataweb and with a few boxes of books and conventions, one of the many unpublished Farassino's in the great sea of Farassino-reporter-militant to be immediately re-published" (Tatti Sanguineti).
"For me, Alberto Farassino was a missed friendship. The one time we worked together was on Telecommando, an experimental program - made for Rai3 in 1978 with Tatti Sanguineti and Alberto - which edited clips from private TV channels and Rai repertory. To a certain extent, it anticipated the comical contiguity of Blob. The program had been nominated for the Biennale of Venice, but it was censured (for a gag about the Honorable Martelli) and from then on our professional paths divided.
Tatti and Alberto continued to frequent the world of cinema (through the festivals), I would have liked to make a war film 'when I grew up'; I ended up in one as an extra, as a reporter, that is. Our experiences became increasingly less communicable (risk-taking is a very private experience, often "aphasic"), but what we always had in common was our belonging to the Culture of cinema, our affection for Cinema as the epos of strong values, model behavior (for the good guys or the bad guys) as opposed to the dissolution, the ethical indifference of TV" (Mimmo Lombezzi) .
