This
video is a collection of memories from a voyage with Sokurov and a conversation
which took place at Bologna's film library in 1999. The film was edited using
the integrity of the words as the basic element, stretching them out and
superimposing images on them. It is a work that is a memory, not a faithful
documentation. There is a time lapse between the registration and its
elaboration. The images of the trip are linking elements throughout the video,
covering the empty spaces, creating the guidelines and the junctures.
Biography

Gigi Piana
Gigi Piana (Biella, 1967) is a visual artist, specializing in video performances and installations. He has exposed his works at the Big Torino 2000 and at Malta. He works with theatrical group Stalker, and teaches at the Unversità Popolare of Biella. His short films, including Più vicino, have participated at the Torino Film Festival, and at the festival of Bellaria.
