A not too faraway future. The house is controlled by a
centralized computer system. The whole system can be controlled via
internet and telephone. Everything is connected to everything and
everything can be controlled by the rest. It is a perfect computer
world. But in such an intertwined world, which could be the consequence
if something breaks down? The young protagonist, unwillingly, will have
to answer to this small and insignificant question.
"In their eyes the promise not to reveal the other's secret: the defeat
of the young man is reflected in the old man's eyes, and vice versa. The
old technician is defeated by a technology that cannot wait for the
slower ones, and the young man is defeated by the impossibility to give
up a complicated but imperfect system, blinded by the illusion that he
cannot live without it." (M. Calvone)
