Since 1966, a huge red arch has spanned the Pfaffenthal
area of Luxembourg. The inhabitants have slept little since then, and
never walk under the bridge without looking up. They know that any
number of things may rain down on them from above: French-fries,
concrete blocks, dogs and particularly human bodies. Since 1966, more
than one hundred people have chosen the red bridge as the stage for
their suicide attempt, landing on roof-tops, sidewalks and children's
sand-pits. The film-maker focuses on the local inhabitants, allowing
them to express their fears, their anger and their desperation.
