100 Per Cent

100 Per Cent

Country: Italy
Year: 2005
Duration: 20'

In a nightmare vision of a perfect future, individuals are tracked and controlled through their consumer profiles. Prearranged couples are matched by agencies in order to create a stable society with no individuality. John is a romantic outsider seemingly unmatchable whose deadline has come: he is forced to choose between integration or an illegal love.
"'100 Per Cent' is the most powerful institution in a society whose economy is based on the control of relationships and reproduction. In this world created in the name of stability and profit, individuality and irrational love are behaviours to correct. This short movie questions what means to be part of a society dominated by the dictatorship of the 'product'
where everybody is a uniform product." (T. Paoli)
