Patrizia Cavalli - Stanze e versi

Patrizia Cavalli Suite

Country: Italy
Year: 2005
Duration: 30

"Patrizia Cavalli is one of the greatest living poets today. To listen to her recite her poetry is an unforgettable experience.  On May 4, 2005, there were over two thousand paying      spectators at the Auditorium in Rome to listen to a reading by her. From the stage lights to the natural light of her house in Campo de' Fiori, in Rome. A long house, like a train, where Patrizia has lived and worked for many years and where each one of her rooms - like the stanzas of her verses - becomes a stage for her truly original flashes of euphoria or melancholy. [...] "I have an exceptional friend who writes and says exceptional things. I couldn't resist the temptation of using      my movie camera to film one of her splendid readings at the Auditorium in Rome. I also asked permission to film her in her house, in the sunny secret of her rooms. I felt that her body and her words were enough to fill the screen." (R. De Francesco)
