Que ne suis-je fougére?

What if I was a fern?
by Nicolas Azalbert
Country: France, Argentina
Year: 2005
Duration: 64'

"Because I had my reasons not to give a damn about things that were fascinating the numbers and made them run. The state and the fate of a world that I didn't care for couldn't affect me, and I wasn't silly enough to try to change them. Straightening the rotten part is a stupid dream. Perceptiveness is to help death or watch ithaving the best laugh about it." (T.S. Bogousslavski)

"The film isn't an adaptation of The Brixton Cod by Timour Sergeï Bogousslavski altough the writer read in off his text and every frame, directly o indirectly, reminds you its content. It's more an association between literature and film, between two lives (the one of the old writer -90 years- and the young director -31 years) that is mixed by the shared aprehention of the world : the rejection of the work, the passion of beauty, the predilection of silence, the underestimation of every belief and the rejection of the rules." (N. Azalbert)
