Noi dobbiamo deciderci

We Must Take a Decision

Country: Italy
Year: 2007
Duration: 60'

Political, poetic and militant coverage of the first month that the inhabitants of Vibo Valentia spent after surviving the flooding rains that fell on July 3RD, 2006.

“We declare that Prodi’s government and the relevent organs of the NATION didn’t properly come to the aid of the people who were hit by the FLOOD in Vibo. We declare that the JOURNALISTICTELEVISION-ENTERTAINMENT APPARATUS became a mediatic hit-man, helping to repress this tragedy from the nation’s CIVIL CONSCIENCE. We declare that the POLITICAL CLASS of Calabria became an accomplice to varying degrees of this INFAMOUS DEED. We declare that today, in Italy, the CITIZENS are not all equal and this is not only the case for the DOMINION THAT THE RULING CLASSES EXERT ON THE SUBORDINATE CLASSES, but also for parts of the nation that have been historically condemned to UNDERDEVELOPMENT, DECAY, and ABANDONMENT, a pool of electoral votes and workers for the northern Capital. We declare that still today, Calabria is not ITALY.”
