AMORI CHE NON SANNO STARE AL MONDO

AMORI CHE NON SANNO STARE AL MONDO
by Francesca Comencini
Country: Italy
Year: 2017
Duration: 92'

Claudia and Flavio were morbidly in love with each other for a long time. But then their love story ended and it was traumatic for her. After so many years, what they both see is a world gone adrift, like an island. He desperately wants to move on, return to earth; she never wants to forget. Flavio encounters Giorgia: all it takes is a moment together and the summer rain does the rest. Claudia and Nina already knew each other but they never imagined that their relationship would turn into love. And yet Nina is beautiful, and her embrace has a power which no woman can elude.

Declaration

film director

“What I tried to do with this film is recount, with joy and cheerfulness, messy love stories and pain. […] I passionately wanted to do this because I believe that what is hiding behind all this messiness is one of the great utopias of our time. There is a treasure in this act of chasing after each other, inside the many misunderstandings, the many belligerent nights: a different way for men and women to be together without paying the price, which is now inadmissible and yet is still currency, of the silence of the women and the dominion of the men.”
