Declaration
film director
“Since from the very first meetings, The Bad Guy took shape like a western. The western also derives from Kurosawa. Kurosawa was the first to bring Shakespeare to the cinema. And the mafia stories are, in fact, all Shakespearean tragedies. Like cowboys, Confederates, and Native Americans, Nino, Luvi, Leo and Teresa fight for their own survival. This is why the scenarios in which they move, and everything that makes them up, is openly hostile, wild, violent.”
