In 1936, during the Italian war in Ethiopia, the incredible true story of an African prince captured and held prisoner in an aviary in the garden of the Fascist Podestà, under the gaze of the inhabitants of a small town in provincial Italy. His name is Abraham Imirrù, but to little Emilio, he is Sandokan. And he will be his hero. In a world where a child's imagination can overturn reality, Emilio finds in the unexpected friendship with the Ethiopian warrior the key to discovering himself.

Giorgia Farina
(Italy), director and screenwriter with a MFA in Film at the Columbia University, is recognized for her nationally and internationally acclaimed films. From 2013 onwards he has made four features: Amiche da morire, Ho ucciso Napoleone (2015), Guida romantica a posti perduti (2020, selected in Venice Days), and Ho visto un re (2024). She is also committed to promoting film education, with screenwriting and directing workshops to cultivate new talent.
