A naive young man from Vermont goes to New York to study film but as soon as he gets off the train, his money and his luggage are stolen by a fake taxi driver. The young man comes across the thief by chance and tries to get his money back but the other man has already spent part of it and proposes that his uncle, a local boss who is the spitting image of Vito Corleone, resolve the matter… After endless requests to play the part of the mafioso, Brando eventually gives in and agrees to take part in a comical parody of his performance in The Godfather.

Andrew Bergman
(New York, 1945), screenwriter, director, and novelist, began working in Hollywood as a screenwriter on Blazing Saddles (1974) by Mel Brooks and debuted as a director in 1981 with the movie So Fine. In 2007, he received the Ian McLellan Hunter Award, the career achievement award of the Writers Guild of America.
