ABAQ

An adaptation of two limpid pages from Borges which tell of a creature who lives in a lethargic state in the stairwell of a temple, awaiting the arrival of a pilgrim to go back to life. It has been going on like that since the beginning of time, with an infinite number of pilgrims, forever. In the video the temple is the interior staircase of the Sacra di San Michele, presented in an incredibly nuanced way. Time is presented by means of a serial montage in the central segment of the video: each segment is shorter that its predecessor creating an infinite temporal spiral folded in over itself.
