Italo is a little melancholic and a little disquieting. He spends his life between his omnivorous consumption of cinema and his existential anguish. What is imaginary in film and in his desire become physical objects, foods to devour with maniacal voracity. The willingness and visceral intensity to take on anything go up against the prosaic toughness of daily living and against the impossibility of fulfilling dreams which perhaps can only be narrated. His tales of love seem like plots of predictable films and the songs he listens to seem like sound tracks that speak of his purposely uneven and tormented passions. But the loneliness of daily life bitterly corrodes this universe that wanted to be "bigger than life".
