Jumpin' at the Boneyard is the story of two brothers, Manny and Dan, who have separately come to a point in their lives where they must help one another change or be lost forever. Manny and Dan, born and raised in a Bronx working class neighborhood, have not seen each other in three years during which time each has taken his own road to selfdestruction. Manny who has been suffering through a painful divorce is now severely depressed and unemployed. Dan, whose drug addiction has plagued him for most of his life, is now deeply involved with crack. Our story begins when Manny finds Dan and a female accomplice, Jeanette, breaking into his apartment. Manny is at first shaken by the sight of his brother after so long but soon figures out Dan has come to steal from him. Manny breaks with range and takes out years of frustration on his already beaten down brother. Manny's attack is brutal and unrelenting, but it stops suddenly when he comes to the realization that his last hope to save himself is to reach out and save Dan.

Jeff Stanzler

Jeff StanzIer began his film studies at the City College of New York. His short film, Blazerman to the Rescue was the recipient of many awards including New York University's 1988 People's Choice Award and Best Screenwriting Awards and the 1989 Lawrence Kasdan Award for best narrative student film. Jumpin' at the Boneyard marks Mr. StanzIer's feature debut.
