The quest for Mauro Corona is something that can only be taken up by those who have neither fear nor preconceptions. He is a sculptor, alpinist, writer, host of unforgettable feasts, and creator of wooden people. This film follows him in that no-man's land where hostile cliffs can become "roads" to climb up, where statues wiggle themselves out of the fire wood, and where the table you are leaning on can transform itself into a solid roof that looms over wondering eyes within the time it takes you to lift a glass. There is a pink wisp in this land, which borders on the town of Erto in the Vajont valley. It is ready to be seen. The statue of Sierva Maria is taking on life.

Andrea Gobetti
Andrea Gobetti (Turin, 1952) began to use video in 1986 in order to help him in his activity as writer and Journalist, covering adventurous topics such as cave exploration, alpinism, and biological research in tropical forests.

Fulvio Mariani
Fulvio Mariani (La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland, 1958) has been passionately interested in alpinism and photography ever since he was a young boy. He began working as a cameraman for the Italian language service of the Swiss National Television in 1981, for which he made several documentaries on alpinism and adventure. He took part in many alpine expeditions which gave him the chance to shoot many of his films.
