by Stefano Di Polito
Country: Italy
Year: 2014
Duration: 75'

Mirafiori, the historical headquarters of FIAT’s first car-manufacturing factory and a symbol of labor union’s struggles of the 1970s, is about to be revamped: the old abandoned warehouse is going to be torn down to make room for the new golf course. But Carlo, Franco and Delfino, who spent most of their lives working in that factory, are not going to leave the premises without trying one last time to repopulate the neighborhood and reconnect with their sons and grandchildren.

Biography

film director

Stefano Di Polito

Stefano Di Polito (Turin, Italy, 1975) is screenwriter and filmmaker, as well as an author of web, radio, TV and theater formats. He was born and raised in Mirafiori, where he stayed until college. He graduated in communication sciences and in 2005 he founded the Creative Lab, a center for applying creativity to social, cultural, political and civil innovation. I Signori Rossi was an offshoot of his civil commitment: a national movement to fight against corruption and for the ethical use of public funds. This experience then gave birth to the book C’è chi dice no (published by Chiarelettere in 2013).
