PASSI SULLA LUNA

Franco, a little crook, wants to try his hand at a big bank robbery. He fails and, running away he hills a cop. The piece of new is broadcasted by radio and television and it reaches the little village in the latian countryside where Franco's family lives. Tommaso, his brother, runs a pozzolano quarry among many difficulties and he supports his father Nino, and Lucia, his little sister. Nino is very excited at seeing his own name and the son's photographs on the newspaper and the TV. The father is proud of his son's feats and popularity.
Hunted and chased, Franco arrived to the quarry. He asks his brother for help and financial support. According to the traditional rule affirming that blood ties are stronger than human laws, Tommaso will help Franco. Together with Franco there is Silvia, the gangster's sweetheart. She is ready to follow her lover, but the decision wavers in front of the traditional values upheld by Tommaso and Lucia's sound judgment. Finally, Silvia will discover that her lover is not a romantic hero, but just a man who kills out of fear and weakness, a murderer. Silvia decides to leave Franco and, unable to get out from her uncomfortable situation, she denounces Franco to the police.

Claudio Antonini
Claudio Antonini (Rome, 1954) was a professional soccer player, He gave up his career, however, when he was close to being engaged by an important team of Series A. He worked ten years in a pozzolana quarry. At the same time he developed his passion for films. When he finished his day work. he worked at night as a projectionist in a Roman film club. so that he could be able to see the old films that made film history again and again. Passi sulla luna is his first film as director.
