A poetic documentation of an installation made by two Bolognese artists, Cateno Sanalitro and Totò Cariello, who have saved waste material from the city dumps and given them new life by setting them in different meaningful relationships and building an uninhabited and silent city, Atlantis, to be exact.

Carlo Nota

Carlo Nota (Turin, 1955) completed studies on the arts and visual language. He worked as a photographer for several years and in 1989 crossed over to the field of video. At present he is involved with others in Yellow Kid, a newly formed audiovisual section of the Friends of Piazza Grande Association, which originated around a street newspaper as a means of combating social discrimination. He made the videos: La fotografia non è arte, l'arte non è fotografia (1989), Solitude Standing (1992), Il sogno della palude (1992), Piazza Grande: nascita di una realtà (1994), Atlantide (le architetture del silenzio) (1994) and some commercial videos made for businesses and regional publishers.
