The alarm clock rings as it does every day for Filippo Ribera, an obscure middle-aged office worker. This morning, however, the alarm clock refuses to stop ringing. Despite Filippo's most desperate tries, the alarm keeps on making that bio that he cant stand. He turns on the lamp on the small table next to his bed and his room has been changed into a cell. Although the scenery has changed, the sound keeps on going, with its lacerating ring. Halfway between dream and consciousness, he goes over the basic steps in his life as model office worker and exemplary father and head of a family. But there is something that obsesses him, a little spot that gets bigger and bigger in his conscience - an action that he should not have done, a stamp that he should not have stamped.
