TOKAREFU

The driver of a little bus for a nursery school, Nishiumi Michio, leads a quiet life together with his wife, Ayako, and his son, Takashi. Matsumura Kei, a newspaper employee, lives in the same condominium as they do. On one morning like any Michio sets about driving his bus. Along a lonely street, a stop light turns red suddenly. Outside of the window a masked man holds a Tokarev automatic pointed at Takashi. The man boards the bus and in a second flees with Takashi. Michio gets the video where Takashi reads the criminal's demands. On the appointed day the kidnapper manages to take the ransom and get away with Takashi. Some days later the boys corpse is found. Michio looks at a video of Takashi's sports meet. While he contemplates his son's figure, he notices the presence of Matsumura. Michio begins to nurse his suspicions and goes to Matsumura who seems almost like he is waiting for him. Matsumura points the Tokarev at Michio and pulls the trigger. Michio escapes death miraculously, but the description that he gives the police does not resemble Matsumura at all. It is as if he refuses to be helped by the forces of order. One year later, his wife leaves him. Michio is incubating an uncontrollable feeling of rage and is waiting for his vendetta.
