Sarah and her nine-year-old son Tim come out of a movie theatre and call a taxi to go home. The taxi driver is a man called Bob, with a hefty body and expressionless eyes. They will never reach their destination: Bob kidnaps them and takes them to his secluded house, where he kills the woman. He renames the boy Rabbit and raises him, keeping him chained. Nine years later, Rabbit is a teenager: he has studied anatomy on the books Bob gave him and he starts being impatient.
