Jung is five years old when a policeman finds him wandering alone in the streets of Seoul: like the other two hundred thousand war orphans in the world, his life begins a second time when he is adopted by a French family. Years later, Jung decides to return for the first time to South Korea to rediscover the sensations of his homeland and to try and find possible clues leading him to his biologic mother; but also to try to finally reconcile his past with his present.

Declaration

film director

“This film was conceived in compliance with the codes of storytelling in cinema, but the autobiographical dimension of this adventure led us to shake certain habits and find our own path, our own identity.” ( Jung)

“The film reveals the story of an uprooted man seeking to end the sterile struggle of rejection of his origins. Jung’s personal story also refers to the collective history of a people divided, separated by a dividing line since 1953.” (Laurent Boileau)
