IO SONO UN PO' MATTO E TU?

The Teatro Patologico in Rome is a place where theater therapy lets disabled youngsters and their families undertake paths of hope and well-being. In the movie, the company's actors and actresses identify with their director and try to resolve the anxieties and fears of the famous people who turn to them in various parts of the city. The professional actors (Claudio Santamaria, Raul Bova, Stefano Fresi, Claudia Gerini, Edoardo Leo, Vinicio Marchioni, Marco Bocci, Stefania Rocca…) confess their tics and obsessions with irony and candor, hoping these “psychiatric tutors” can help solve them.

“The goal of Io sono un po’ matto e tu?, a movie with an extraordinary cast of famous Italian actors and the participation of thirty disabled actors from the Compagnia Stabile del Teatro Patologico, was to collect money for the scientific project All Mad Free. The movie's first and primary goal is to heighten public awareness of the topic of psychiatric disability – a topic that is addressed and studied too little; the second goal is the practical one of supporting the project.”
