Declaration

film director

“When I found out I was pregnant, it seemed as though everybody had an opinion or a truth to share about the right things to do. I felt I was being sent down a trajectory that others had already decided for me, the result of what seemed to be customs and standardized habits, choices made by the other women in my family. I asked myself if there might be another, more personal way to deal with the total upheaval I was experiencing. This movie was born from this 'search' of mine.”
