Declaration
film director
“You Land is an intensely intimate odyssey, an attempt to capture the raw vulnerability woven into the fabric of the online experience, hinting towards the sickly relatable, the tragic-but-ordinary. I deactivate my Instagram account with a sullen regularity. For me, stepping away from social media isn’t a controversial and empowering act of self-love, it is usually an anxiety-riddled, isolating experience. I find myself wondering what life would be like if I wasn’t exposed to the agonising rise of influencer culture, sheltered from the grasp of comparison, gloriously offline. That is how You Land was born.”
