The 43rd Torino Film Festival honors Spike Lee with the Stella della Mole award

The award-winning director, screenwriter, actor and producer Spike Lee will be at the 43rd Torino Film Festival – taking place from November 21st to the 29th in Turin – to present his latest work in a national premiere and receive the prestigious “Stella della Mole” award. 

With a career filled with works such as Do the Right Thing, Inside Man, and BlacKkKlansman, which earned him two Oscars®, Spike Lee will present his latest film, Highest 2 Lowest, in a national premiere at the Festival. This new work marks the fifth collaboration with the actor Denzel Washington. 

The Torino Film Festival’s director Giulio Base stated: “Presenting the Stella della Mole to Spike Lee means celebrating a pioneer: the first great African-American director to bring his radical and unmistakable voice to the heart of mainstream global cinema, while keeping its power intact”.
