Charles, a young student of a wealthy family, who lives in Paris with his hysterical and possessive sister, leaves looking for an old lover of his father. He discovers the attractive and bewildering world of a nightclub in Pigalle, where Clémentine, a teenager he deeply falls in love with, lives.
But later he finds out that the girl is his step-sister and shocked by the possibility to be incestuous, he ends up surrendering to the unclear and conspiratorial seductions of a magician and a dancer, two sly characters of this poisonous nightclub.
