Declaration

film director

Fuori dal giorno is a long overview on a contemporary metropolitan city (Rome) in its daily rhythm of awkward and hyperreal figures, fleeting situations and hard relationships. In the head of the protagonist, hallucination becomes reality and reality becomes fantasy.
Creating this first feature film was a proper adventure, not only for me (there have been risks and inconveniences). I tried to make the visual-linguistic elements as structural as possible, while I was writing the script and during the editing. That's not only because it was the best option in order to save some money (an actor costs and working on the actor has a cost), but also because that's what frees the structure itself and better identifies the specific role of the director.
