Mama Said is the starting recreation of a vintage television performance of The Shirelles, the popular girl group of the early '60, performing their hit song "Mama Said". Intercut with the television performance is documentary footage of the civil unrest in America during the '60.

Michael Anthony Costanza

Michael Costanza's passion for making films started at an early age. In 1981, at age of sixteen, he was the youngest filmmaker in the Toronto International Film Festival for his acclaimed short, Revenge. At age of seventeen, he directed his first feature Delusion, which won the Young Filmmaker's Award. Mr. Costanza penchant for unusual comedies resulted in his writing and directing a number of shorts including Flasher and Escape by Moonlight. He attended Pratt Institute where he studied art and design and Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where he acquired his degree.
